As with many sports, progress takes time and depends on how much time you devote to it. The more you surf, the more waves you'll catch. However, in the world of surfing, you are dependent on a number of factors: the spot, the tide times, the tidal coefficient, the swell, the wind, the weather, the frequency with which spots are frequented, localism and personal availability.

At Alaïa Bay, all these variables are removed, allowing you to surf regularly at times that suit you and in ideal conditions. It's an ideal training ground for improving your technique.

Of course, you won't be working on your observation of the ocean, current management, wave choice or positioning in relation to the peak.

But you will be working on your technique: positioning, paddling, straightening, picking up speed, turns, manoeuvres, etc.  Whether you're a beginner or an experienced surfer, surfing at Alaïa Bay will help you progress more quickly. The predictability and length of the waves generated and the absence of other distractions will allow you to surf with great ease.

Even for experienced surfers, our barrels can be very technical and the variety of our waves has surprised many.
